Paper Anniversary!

We sent out to our family and wedding party a card to help celebrate our first anniversary. One of my pet peeves is not getting to see any of the pictures taken at weddings, especially weddings that I was in and pictured at. So for our first anniversary, to thank everyone again for being a part of our wedding day, we sent out custom letterpressed card (made by yours truly) with a picture framed inside (you can remove the picture and add it to a photo album or frame it or whatever). Some of our friends heard that we were doing this, and we sent out cards to those that expressed interest in having one. If you were at our wedding, and you want a picture, please send us a note and we'll be sure to get one out to you.

Happy First Anniversary to Us!

This past weekend, Joel and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary here in Los Angeles. We had a celebratory dinner on Saturday night (since Sunday, our actual anniversary, was Easter, and a lot of places were closed) at Patina at Disney Hall. It was an awesome night. We opened a super yummy bottle of 2002 Silver Oak Cabernet that our friend Casey gave us for Christmas, and it went perfectly with our steak dinners!

Thank you, everyone, for all your good wishes and for being a part of our lives. It's been a great first year of marriage, with Joel starting a new job as the Lead Character Modeler for the new James Bond video game and me entering my final phase of my Ph.D. Here's to many more happy years together!
